Arlington mother Jen McDougal joined Fox & Friends on Wednesday to discuss her encounter with a registered sex offender in a locker room managed by the county’s public schools.
“In Sept. 2024, my daughter was changing after swim class,” McDougal told Fox & Friends host Steve Doocey. “We walked into the locker room, and there was a naked man standing in the middle of the room, surrounded by other little girls changing.”
The sex offender is now banned from using Arlington Public Schools amenities, according to Superintendent Francisco Duran.
“We will continue to review and adjust our security protocols for signing in and work with our government partners across the county to prevent incidents like this from occurring again,” Duran told families via email on Jan. 22, 2025.
To date, the school district has not reversed its policy of allowing males to use women’s locker rooms. “It seems like a loophole to me that needs to be closed,” McDougal said on Wednesday.
