(EdNews Virginia) — The U.S. Department of Education has rolled out EndDEI.Ed.Gov, a new online portal designed to crowdsource reports of diversity, equity, and inclusion (DEI) practices in the nation’s publicly-funded K-12 schools.
“The secure portal allows parents to provide an email address, the name of the student’s school or school district, and details of the concerning practices. The Department of Education will use submissions as a guide to identify potential areas for investigation,” according to a news release issued today.
“For years, parents have been begging schools to focus on teaching their kids practical skills like reading, writing, and math, instead of pushing critical theory, rogue sex education and divisive ideologies — but their concerns have been brushed off, mocked, or shut down entirely,” Moms for Liberty co-founder Tiffany Justice said. “Parents, now is the time that you share the receipts of the betrayal that has happened in our public schools. This webpage demonstrates that President Trump’s Department of Education is putting power back in the hands of parents.”
Not everyone welcomed the news. “The Department of Education just launched a federal tip line to report DEI — McCarthyism in real time,” University of Southern California education professor and DEI consultant Royel M. Johnson posted on X.
The launch of EndDEI.Ed.Gov follows a series of White House directives to halt government use of DEI, including a Jan. 20 executive order titled Ending Radical and Wasteful DEI Programs and Preferencing as well as Ending Radical Indoctrination in K-12 Schooling, issued on Jan. 29.
