January 22–28 is “Virginia School Choice Week,” Governor Glenn Youngkin has declared. In a proclamation shared with EdNews Virginia, Youngkin notes that “School Choice Week is celebrated across the country by millions of students, parents, educators, schools, and organizations to raise awareness of the need for effective educational options.”
Several events are planned across the commonwealth, according to National School Choice Week (NSCW), a program of the National School Choice Awareness Foundation (NSCAF). On Saturday, January 28, families will gather in Arlington for what NSCW calls “one of Virginia’s most prominent National School Choice Week events” — for details, visit SchoolChoiceVA.com.
